Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
What is Traditional Chinese Medicine?
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) has been practiced for more than 3000 years and is based on the understanding that the human body is an interconnected and balanced system. It views the body, mind, and spirit as a single entity.
TCM is based on the belief that energy, known as qi, flows through the body and is responsible for health and wellbeing.
Accompanying the correct flow of qi, ones body must also have a correct balance of Yin and Yang within.
Common treatment methods used in TCM include acupuncture, herbs, moxibustion, cupping, tuina, exercise and diet.
TCM is based on the belief that the body’s vital energy, or qi, must be balanced in order for a person to be healthy. As such, It’s holistic approach to health looks at how a person’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing are all connected and impact one another.

Whether it’s pain, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, or recovery from physical stress, TCM provides a lens through which your body’s patterns can be understood and gently supported.
All TCM treatments are provided by a registered practitioner, and private health rebates are available through HICAPS for eligible clients.

Jesse's Approach
Jesse combines pulse and tongue diagnostics, case history, palpation, and ongoing dialogue with you to adjust treatments in real time. No two people with similar symptoms receive the same treatment, because Chinese Medicine recognises that context matters.
It’s not about fixing one thing; it’s about restoring rhythm, responsiveness and internal communication in the body.
Under the care of Jesse, you will receive a natural, personalised way to support your health, function, and wellbeing. Drawing from his background in both sports medicine and traditional Eastern practices, Jesse brings a balanced, grounded perspective to his work. He looks beyond your symptoms to see the bigger picture of how your energy, organs, and emotions influence each other.

What to Expect
Your first consultation will involve a deep dive into your health history, current challenges, and goals. From there, Jesse may recommend:
-
A stand-alone acupuncture session
-
Herbal medicine prescription
-
A combined therapy session (e.g. acupuncture + cupping + moxa)
-
Ongoing care plan with check-ins and adjustments
Herbal formulas may be adjusted across your treatment timeline as your presentation changes.
